社名 WACCAの由来
「和」の文化、和紙の文化を「WACCA＝わっか＝輪」で現代のライフスタイルにつなげていきたい。「WACCA」を通じて、和紙を作る人と、使う人とのあいだに素敵なつながりができますように、という思いを込めています。
What does WACCA mean?
WACCA is a play on words. Wa （和）represents something Japanese, WACCA （わっか＝輪）means circle.WACCA wishes to connect our modern lifestyle with the Japanese washi paper culture.
It is our desire to communicate the passion of the washi paper craftsman to the end user. Next, it is our wish to communicate the joy of using the product back to the craftsman. Thus WACCA envisions a circular communication.
和紙の代表的な原料の楮には、多くの種類があり、それぞれ微妙ながら特長があります。WACCAのロゴマーク（家紋）は、中央に一般的な楮の葉を、左右は黒楮の葉の形状をモチーフにした、オリジナルの「楮紋＋外割黒楮紋」です。

A Little About Our Logo
The kozo, or paper mulberry tree, is the best known raw material for washi paper, and there are many different kinds of kozo. All have their own characteristics though it may not be apparent by the way they look. Family Crest in Japanese is kamon. We adopted a kamon as our logo. The WACCA logo is called Kozo-mon plus Sotowari kuro-kozo-mon, and literally means a kozo crest, plus split exterior kozo leaves. It is an original motif featuring a common kozo leaf in the center of a black kozo leaf, split in half.
It was designed by Shoryu Hatoba, who is a family crest artisan of Kyo-gen Inc.
