56 種の和紙が綴じられた、
見本帳のような和紙のアートブックを制作しました。
この本の中には和紙一枚ずつの解説書も、和紙についての説明もいっさいありません。
産地やブランド、原料、価格、 手漉き・機械漉きといった製造方法にもとらわれることなく、「和紙」という素材に、ダイレクトに触れていただけるアー トブックです。
本書の中の和紙は、ほんの一部を除き現在購入可能な和紙で構成されています。

We have produced a washi paper art book, which is like a sample book, binding 56 different kinds of washi paper. There is no explanation for the washi paper itself, or for each individual paper included in the book. This book is an art book in which you can directly feel and touch the essence of the beauty of washi paper. There is no information such as where it is made, the name of the brand, what raw materials are used, the price, whether it is handmade or not or how it is made. Most of the papers in the book, with the exception of a few, are available now; so we can give you full information if you are interested.
「TANAGOCORO たなごころ」とは
「てのひら」の古語で、「た(手)の心」の意に由来すると言われています。 作り手の思いが込められた和紙は、その手によって生み出されます。その紙に触れた人が、また新たなものを生みだ すように...てのひらからてのひらへ、新たなアイデアにつながるツールとなって欲しい、という思いを込めています。
TANAGOCORO originated from the Japanese, meaning “Heart of Hands.” Washi paper filled with artisans’ passion is created with their hands...just like how people who encountered the paper create something new...from palms of hands to palms of hands.
「TANAGOCORO」の使い道。
和紙の見本帳としてのほか、ノートとして、日記帳に、ウエディングや展覧会のゲストブックに、スクラップブックに、 撮影のスタイリング小物に、ショップなどのディスプレイとして、インスピレーションのもととして、お休み前の心 休まる聖書のように、あるいはもっと奇想天外な自由な使い方を試みていただけましたら幸いです。
※本に掲載されている紙の種類と枚数はすべて同じですが、色や柄は本ごとに異なる紙もございます。
また、和紙の耳をできるだけ活かす製本方法ですので、1冊ずつ、すべて表情が異なります。
